On December 6, 2007, JohnJay and Rich from Arizona's 104.7 FM radio station spent the day at Arizona Mills Mall for Christmas Wish.This is a segment of their program where they help families in need during the Christmas season. JohnJay and Rich have created a CD people can buy, and all the money is donated to this Christmas Wish fund.
People write letters to the station about someone they know who needs major help financially during this Christmas season. That person then reads the letter to the person on air. It really can be heart-breaking to hear their story and struggles. Then their Christmas Wish comes true! JohnJay and Rich provide them with everything, and more, that the family may need during this time. They usually get a Christmas tree with all the decorations, a gift card for groceries, clothes and toys for everyone in the family, and any bills/debts paid off. It really is a great service.
On this day, I happened to be in the area, so I thought I'd drop by. I bought one of their CD's and watched them close up the show. I could have easily met them and got their autographs, but I chose not to. JohnJay is in the 2nd picture, while Rich is in the last photo.
