"Hard Core Henry" at U.S. Air Guitar Championships

Dianne and I were at work trying to figure out what would be fun to do for the weekend. I checked out the website azcentral.com, and the air guitar championships was one of the highlighted options. I couldn't believe it, so I clicked on the icon to check it out...and it really was real. I felt prompted to tell Jason about it, and before you know it...we were there! It was out of this world crazy fun! I've never seen anything like it! It was at a small venue. There weren't too many people there, but there were a handful of contestants and 3 judges. I felt like we were at American Idol because the judges were giving helpful and interesting advice. The contestants were mainly judged by their "airness" and "technicality." I still am not sure what "airness" means, but that is something quite important in this field. The video above is of our AZ representative (he won the contest here). He was awesome! He seriously made me want to do air guitar right with him! So fun! (Some advice for those of you who want to attend these competitions in the future, I wouldn't recommend bringing children or anyone who gets offended easily...the language wasn't very clean.)
